Mueller Staffs Up "Witch Hunt" with 13 Lawyers and He's Just Getting Started

You can already tell by who Robert Mueller is hiring what direction this “witch hunt” is going.

Clearly, Mueller will want to help vindicate his close pal Comey and also justify his own existence.

All you have to do is put yourself in Mueller’s shoes.

Your best buddy was embarrassed and got fired, and you have nearly unlimited resources for your witch hunt to vindicate him.

Mueller is hiring an armada of highly partisan lawyers because he doesn’t want to come up empty.

Expect this to turn into a full scale fishing expedition and for Mueller to look for ANY excuse to find ANYTHING on the Trump White House in regards to wrongdoing.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has hired 13 lawyers to help in the investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 presidential election, and he is planning to hire more.

According to a report by CNN Friday, those hired by Mueller are seasoned attorneys and experts, including James Quarles and Jeannie Rhee, who both worked at Mueller’s old firm, WilmerHale. He has also hired Andrew Weissmann, who led the Enron investigation.

Just five of the attorneys hired have been identified, but those named have already raised concerns over possible political leanings.

Quarles, Rhee and Weissman have donated more than $53,000 to Democrats since 1988, CNN reported.

Mueller was appointed last month after President Trump abruptly fired former FBI Director James Comey.

His appointment was originally greeted with bipartisan praise, but he has since come under fire from Trump allies.

Earlier this week, The Washington Post reported that Mueller is investigating Trump for obstruction of justice. The probe is also looking into top Trump aides and former campaign advisers, including son-in-law Jared Kushner and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
